The personal integrity of the individual is subordinate to the security of the majority
A Swedish legal case has initially been heard by the Swedish Labour Court and then by the European Court of Human Rights. An employee at a nuclear power station held the opinion that his employer should not be entitled to carry out drug tests, and in so doing the employer was violating his personal integrity. Both legal bodies have delivered judgments in favour of the employer. The judgements delivered made it clear that the courts considered that the personal integrity of the individual is subordinate to the security of the majority.
