Maribo is a family owned company that was founded in 1993. The company trains various categories of service dogs, and develops and provides security services based on these service dogs.

Maribo owns the authorised security company Msec-Maribo Security AB.
Msec develops and provides authorised security services based on service dogs.

Clients include both government run and private companies.

Dog handling positions appointed by Maribo AB / Msec-Maribo Security AB.

Employees at Maribo / Msec have service dogs. Maribo's service dogs are trained to detect gas, narcotics, explosives or people. Service dogs at Msec are security service dogs with special skills. Their task is to execute qualified security assignments. For the correct execution of work tasks the service dog and handler must meet a set of unconditional requirements. Being a dog handler at Maribo / Msec requires the right personal attributes. Some of these important attributes include being dutiful, orderly, loyal and a willingness to work. Dog handlers must also be in good physical and mental health and have a stable social situation. Moreover, dog handlers must not use drugs, have no record in the criminal records database, and have a clean financial record. Working for Maribo / Msec also requires that you are a Swedish citizen, you have completed a minimum of upper secondary Swedish education and you hold a Swedish driving licence with a minimum authorisation level of B. Dog handlers live together with their service dogs. The service dog is the dog handler's work implement and companion for life. Being a dog handler is therefore not just a way of working but also a way of life. Those who intend submitting an application should consider this issue very carefully.

Experience in the general handling of dogs is a requirement. The right skills and objectives are detailed in the internal training plan. Service dogs at Maribo / Msec may not participate in any general dog agility contests as these might conflict with their special training.
